Incidences Sails - Martinique

We are continuing to hear how an ever growing number of superyachts are choosing to stop in Martinique specifically to take advantage of the first-class facility and expertise of the team at Incidences. This company has the largest sail loft in the whole Caribbean, located within the superb Artimer complex, close to Le Marin marina. In their 600m loft, they can fabricate and repair sails with no limits to size. 

The loft itself is positioned alongside a large dinghy dock, and a custom crane has been installed at the end of the loft to enable them to lift sails directly from the yacht's tender into the loft for service (the channel for access by tender has been dredged to 1.4 metres, and is 12 metres wide). As an alternative, they can also pick up the sail directly from the yacht, wherever it is based in Le Marin Bay, in the marina, or at anchor. Two team members are specifically on call to manage this service and will handle sails of all sizes and deliver them back on board following repair or service. The other end of the loft is open to a large concrete delivery area - so whether coming via car or boat, they can accommodate you with ease. 

Herve Lepault is the highly professional business owner, whose reputation of excellence goes far beyond Martinique. With well over 30 years’ experience, he can handle any size job and find the solution to any problem. Herve employs 12 sail / canvas makers, all of whom have been with him for over 12 years - each specialists in their own field, whether it’s covers, sails, biminis, dodgers and ‘Shade Sails’ (which are proving to be very popular both shoreside and as stylish superyacht top deck awnings).

They have 12 sewing machines; three for heavy duty superyacht sails and one dedicated for spinnakers. The growing number of high profile repeat customers is testament to their highly-skilled abilities.
